The year that just ended was certainly filled with its highs and lows. It was also a year that marked many changes for all of us in the printing industry. We look back at the past 12 months and share how they’ve helped us prepare for the challenges of 2022.

IMS: a company in full growth

The purchase of a new flexographic printer allowed us to boost our printing capacity by 40% and support our clients to bring their products to market more quickly.

New employees join our team

In 2021, we focused on an approach that promoted the personal growth of our employees and we enacted an exhaustive, personalized integration program adapted to the market to attract the right talent for our needs. Our efforts paid off! Over the past year, 20 new employees have joined our team.

An ongoing dedication to our community

At IMS, we’re proud to support causes or events that aim to make a difference in society. That’s why every year we take part in myriad fundraising activities.

In 2021, many of us put on our bike shorts and participated in Cycling for Inclusion to help vulnerable families in Quebec that have been greatly affected by the pandemic.

In-person events

This past year, the IMS team took part in many in-person events throughout Quebec. September, we were fortunate enough to be involved in the 19th Edition of the Canadian Brewing Awards. During the event, Canadian breweries of all sizes were invited to compete in a Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCO) sanctioned blind tasting to determine the best beers in 55 style categories.

Furthermore, we also attended the AMBQ’s annual convention for the first time where we exhibited our products and services. More than 900 industry professionals gathered at the Centre des congrés de Québec to build their network of contacts, meet new suppliers, and discuss industry challenges with peers. The conferences and discussions held at the AMBQ convention were an opportunity for us to understand the challenges facing the craft beer industry. Furthermore, we were able to meet numerous brewers and showcase our extensive solutions adapted to their organizational needs.

Implementing an ERP

At the end of 2021, we implemented a new ERP and optimized our CRM.

This strategic growth project is a key part of our progressive digital transformation in this industry 4.0 age. The changes we’ve carried out will boost our productivity, significantly cut our costs, and greatly improve the quality of our products. All for the benefit of clients.

A new branding

In February 2021, we revealed our new branding that reflects our dynamic, integrated approach to printing solutions.

Modernizing our visual and digital communications was part of our strategic growth plan. In parallel, we also recruited new experts and invested in new strategies. All with the goal of constantly improving our operations.

“The new IMS logo is a nod to the primary colours that are the pillars of the printing industry. As for the company’s new website, it was designed to convey the competitive advantages of IMS and highlight the quality of its services and the expertise of its employees,” said Philippe Jacques, President of Solocom, the agency behind the brand’s repositioning.

Ready for 2022

The past year was a very fruitful one for our team. At the end of 2019, we never could have imagined what the next few years would entail. We’re extremely proud of what we’ve accomplished over the past 60 years, and we look forward to what 2022 has in store for us.

Happy new year from the entire team!
